First love...

Was the sweetest
Was the one you might remember for the rest of your life
Was the one that taught you the most
Was the one that gave you great memories
Was the one that gave you great experiences as well
Was the one that might change you to become a better, stronger person

When it's over

Was the hardest to let go of
Was the one you kept on telling yourself "Let it go. Let it go."
Your mind said "It's over. That's it"
Your brain added "Don't be stupid. There's must be someone else for you"
Yourself said "You're strong. You're not that weak"
But then you couldn't deny deep in your heart said
"There might be some hope. Even a very little tiny one"

And it went for hours, days, or weeks, or months or even years?
Until you found someone else
Or your first love didn't want to contact you anymore
Or when he/she is getting married
That's when your brain reminded you again
"This is it. This is it. Full stop. No more hope. And it's the best for both of you"
This time, your heart agreed with your brain
But then your heart still felt extremely painful. Damn sad. And you found water running on your cheek..

And life goes on...
